It happens every time. Doesn’t matter where we are in the country, it happens. It happens most when we stop to listen to a story of a woman’s homesteading journey. It happens when we show we care and offer a kind word of encouragement.
Every time we attend a Homesteading event, hundreds of women will stop by our booth. We share our mission, our purpose, and the Community NLHG has to offer.
And every time…. One woman stays a little longer, willing to share more of her story.
The frustration from failures. The loneliness.
Then it happens.
The tears. The look of hope. The quiet question, “Is there a Chapter in my town?”
We meet so many women who are looking for a Community of like-minded women.
As so many of you know, the loneliness can be overwhelming and the homesteading journey a struggle if you’re going it alone.
As I take time to reflect on all we have accomplished as an organization to meet the needs of hundreds of women, it’s the quiet lonely tears of women looking for Community that light the fire to do more. I am coming to all of you who are already involved with NLHG, asking you to help us reach the hundreds more who are looking for a Community of like-minded women.
How can you help?
We’ve had so many offers to attend Homesteading Conferences and Expos for 2023 but it costs money to get us there.
If each of you would donate $12 on, or before, November 29th, you will be providing a solution for thousands of women across our country who dream of a homesteading, face to face community!
Your $12 will help pay for travel expenses so we are able to share the Mission and Purpose of NLHG
Your $12, a dollar for every month of the year, will help us bring the hope of Community to lonely homesteading women across the country.
Your $12 will give you the opportunity to be a part of something much bigger than yourself and to make a difference in the lives of other homesteading women.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for partnering with me in reaching those women who long to have what we already have… an amazing Community of like-minded, homesteading women!
